Frequently Asked Questions:

1.) Do you provide same day emergency service in Berkshire, Hampden, and Hampshire counties? Yes. We offer same day emergency water, fire, smoke, and mold restoration across Western Massachusetts with live answer. We typically arrive within hours depending on distance and road conditions.

2.) Do you work with my insurance company, and can you bill them directly? Absolutely. We work with all major carriers, follow carrier-approved estimating (Xactimate), and can bill your insurance directly. You’re usually responsible only for your deductible and any non-covered items.

3.) How does your restoration process work from start to finish? Call → Assessment → Mitigation/Remediation → Documentation → Rebuild. We take photos, moisture readings, and create a written scope; then we dry, clean, or remediate; keep daily logs for your adjuster; and manage the full rebuild so you deal with one contractor.

4.) How long does structural drying take after water damage? Most homes dry in 2–5 days, depending on materials, saturation, and ventilation. We monitor daily with moisture meters and thermal imaging and remove equipment only when dry-standard is met.

5.) Can you remove smoke odor completely after a fire? Yes when the right steps are followed. We do source removal and detailed cleaning, then use HEPA filtration, hydroxyl/ozone (as appropriate), thermal fogging, and sealants to neutralize odor at the source.

6.) Is mold dangerous, and how do you remediate it safely?
Mold can trigger health issues for some people. We follow best practices: containment, negative air, HEPA filtration, safe removal, antimicrobial treatment, and post-remediation verification/clearance when needed.

7.)
Are you licensed, insured, and certified?
Yes licensed & insured with certified technicians (WRT/ASD). We also follow Lead-Safe RRP where applicable and pull permits for rebuild work when required.

8.)
What kind of equipment do you use?
Professional-grade: truck-mount extractors, LGR dehumidifiers, axial/centrifugal air movers, HEPA air scrubbers/negative air machines, thermal imaging, hygrometers, and deodorization tools (hydroxyl/ozone, foggers).

9.)
Do you handle contents cleaning, pack-out, and storage?
Yes. We inventory and pack-out salvageable items, arrange specialty contents cleaning, and offer secure, climate-controlled storage until your rebuild is complete.

10.)
Can you manage the rebuild after mitigation/remediation?
Yes. Our reconstruction team handles drywall, flooring, paint, trim, kitchens/baths, and finish work one project manager, one schedule, one warranty.

11.) How do you protect my home during the project? Floor and dust protection, isolated work zones, daily job-site cleanup, and clear communication. We photograph the site at each stage and maintain daily moisture/HEPA run-time logs.

12.) What will this cost, and do you provide free inspections? We offer free on-site inspections. Insurance work is estimated with Xactimate using local market pricing; for non-insurance jobs we provide a written proposal before work begins.

13.) Do you service both residential and commercial properties? Yes single-family homes, multifamily, condos/HOAs, retail, offices, schools, healthcare, and light industrial throughout Springfield, Chicopee, Westfield, Northampton, Amherst, Pittsfield, and surrounding towns.

14.) How can I prevent future water or mold issues after repairs? Keep indoor RH 40–50%, maintain gutters/grade away from the foundation, insulate cold pipes, install leak sensors, and service appliances (washers, water heaters, dishwashers). Call us if you see stains, musty odors, or humidity spikes.
